Work Student as laboratory support at u-blox AG

In our IC Design laboratory in the Thalwil headquarters, we run reliability tests of our modules and ICs, analyze failing samples as well as support engineering with physical analyses on prototypes. Now, we are looking for a student as part time lab support (20% on average) on a flexible basis to support our laboratory.

 

Tasks

  • Testing/Analyzing of failures from the Test House
  • Calibrate equipment
  • Support on test program validation/characterization
  • Support of Hardware repair (mainly soldering)
  • Revise the inventory of the lab (chips, hardware) and keep the lab tidy

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master Studies in Electrical Engineering (from 5th semester)
  • Solid technical understanding and ability to work independently on technical setups
  • First experience in IC testing an advantage
  • Very good English skills, German language skills a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office and programming skills (Matlab, C++)
  • Flexible team player with a precise approach to work
  • Swiss- or EU-citizen or valid work permit for Switzerland
